Cozy Easy Toast Topping Ideas You Can Make in 2 Minutes
Each of these can be made in under 2 minutes. Now that is my kind of fast food!

These ideas will have you snacking on toast for more than just breakfast!
There are many who don’t like “breakfast” and say they have no time for it. This is a great option, it’s quick and delicious and most likely you have items in your fridge or pantry you like or will find a pickier eater will gobble up for breakfast that they may not have thought of.

Beyond breakfast, these easy toast ideas are perfect for snacks, lunch, after school and anytime you’re hungry.
Here is the line up:
- Â avocado, green onions, tomatoes, cilantro (great with sliced or mashed avocado and go ahead and add bacon to it, it’s fantastic)
- cream cheese with grape nuts and blueberries, slightly sweet and crunchy
- peanut butter, banana, and mini chocolate chips, a classic combo with a sweet chocolaty kick
- Â cream cheese with a little bit of powdered sugar and sprinkles, super fun for a special day or to get the picky eater to eat ANYTHING or try Bread and Buttercream… just slather on some buttercream frosting onto your toast and top it with sprinkles… it’s like a celebration even if it’s just an ordinary Monday!

- 7- cream cheese with dill, cucumber. salt and pepper, cucumber sandwich
- 8- apple sauce with sliced apples. Cinnamon and sugar, so easy and a family favorite
- 9- cream cheese, red onion, Roma tomato. Salt and pepper. This is my go-to, when I can’t think of what I want to eat or no time I make this.
- 10- cream cheese mixed with maple syrup and cooked bacon then drizzled with maple syrup on top, oh my goodness this is heavenly
- 11- cream cheese mixed with sweetened coconut, topped with pineapple and toasted coconut, a super fun flavor combo that will have you thinking you’re sitting by the beach enjoying an umbrella drink!
- 12- cream cheese and dill pickle. Salt and pepper. I just love pickles and always have a jar or two in the fridge and it’s so yummy, add in some of my Dill Pickle Seasoning click here and it’s extra special!
What Can You Put on Toast?
he short answer? Almost anything you already have!
Toast is basically an edible blank canvas. Start with a spread, add something creamy or crunchy, then finish it with fruit, vegetables, herbs, seasoning, cheese, or something sweet.
Creamy toast toppings
Try cream cheese, whipped cream cheese, goat cheese, ricotta, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, hummus, mashed avocado, peanut butter, almond butter or another favorite nut butter.
Fresh toppings
Use whatever you have in the refrigerator. Tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, red onion, green onions, apples, bananas, berries, pineapple and fresh herbs are all easy additions.
Savory toppings
Egg salad, bacon, cheese, pickles, olives, hummus, leftover vegetables, deli meat and avocado can turn toast into a filling snack or quick meal.
Sweet toast toppings
Try peanut butter and banana, berries and cream cheese, apples with cinnamon and sugar, honey and ricotta, chocolate chips, coconut, maple syrup or even a little frosting and sprinkles for a fun treat.
Don’t forget the seasoning
A sprinkle of Everything Bagel Seasoning, dill, cinnamon, black pepper, flaky salt, red pepper flakes or your favorite seasoning blend can completely change the flavor.

There are lots of options, hummus is great with vegetables or olives.
Whipped cream cheese is softer and fluffier and easily spreads on toast, it’s what I use.
Goat cheese mixed with cream cheese would be a delicious option, so would ricotta cheese. You can try greek yogurt too!

Don’t feel like traditional breakfast? Toast gives you plenty of savory options without making a big meal.
There are lots of savory options here, perfect for the person who doesn’t like things so sugary in the morning.

Toast makes a great after school snack because you can make one quickly with whatever you already have. Let the kids choose their bread and toppings and make their own combination.
For something sweet, try peanut butter and banana, cream cheese and berries, apple and cinnamon sugar, or cream cheese with sprinkles.
For a savory snack, try cream cheese and pickles, avocado and tomato, egg salad and bacon, hummus and vegetables, or cheese and tomatoes.
And if one slice isn’t enough, add another piece of toast and you’ve got a quick sandwich!
