Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

March 30, 2018

No need to look any further to make easy to peel hard-boiled eggs, the instant pot is essential in the kitchen to make cooking easier, faster and more efficient.

Hard-Boiled Eggs,

they could not be EASIER!

Place the eggs on the rack in the instant pot,

with one cup of water, time eggs for 5 minutes on low pressure (often on high pressure the outer edge of the old will turn green because it is too hot or the temperature rose too quickly) so low pressure works well here.

Allow the eggs to come down to normal pressure by themselves for 5 minutes after the cooking time is done.

then quick release the total time will be about 15 minutes including the time it takes to come to pressure before cooking starts.

Then place the eggs in an ice water bath to cool, then you’ll be able to easily peel the eggs.

The hard-boiled eggs made in the pressure cooker ate the EASIEST to peel, hands down. My husband and son who eat so many of them both commented on how easy they were to peel. They comment each and every time I make them, whereas if they are somewhat easy to peel they know they were cooked on the stove.

I’ve tried lots of ways to cook hard-boiled eggs, from adding baking soda, and salt, to starting with hot water, cold water, and room temperature water, simmering them, boiling them, turn the flame off when they come to a boil. Sometimes they work out some times they don’t. I do think it sometimes has to do with how fresh or old the eggs are. But ONE thing is for sure the INSTANT POT doesn’t care. It’s the SIMPLEST way to make hard-boiled eggs. NO fuss!

Hi Sharon, It can be all-consuming, I’m happy to help. If you can’t find the printable recipe card, you can always email me directly and I can send you the printable link. The ads are how I earn a living, so they won’t be going away anytime soon. The printable recipe is always at the bottom of the post itself, and as I mentioned I’m here to help. I am planning on putting a jump to recipe button at the top of the posts soon, but have been too busy to implement a whole new format immediately. As far as instructions go, google wants a certain amount of information before the recipe card, and between Google and ad networks, I’m just trying to earn a living while offering free recipes. Hope that explains it all a bit. Thanks so much for messaging me, I do consider the issues everyone mentions as I update my website.
