How to Make Fried Oreos Easily with Pancake Mix
If you’ve ever walked the boardwalk, wandered through a county fair, or spent the day at a carnival, chances are you’ve spotted a plate of warm, golden fried Oreos dusted with powdered sugar. One bite and you’ll understand why this fair food favorite has become so popular. Get ready to learn How to Make Fried Oreos Easily with Pancake Mix.

The best part? You don’t have to wait for summer or your local fair to enjoy them. This easy fried Oreos recipe lets you make that classic carnival treat right in your own kitchen whenever the craving strikes.
One summer, we couldn’t stop talking about the fried Oreos we enjoyed on the boardwalk. They reminded us of chocolate-filled zeppoles with a crispy outside, a soft, fluffy coating, and a warm, melty Oreo cookie tucked inside. They were so good that I knew I had to recreate them at home.
I don’t do a lot of deep frying, but something is just too irresistible and absolutely worth making.

The pancake batter creates a soft, fluffy coating that puffs beautifully while frying and surrounds the cookie just like the fried Oreos you get at fairs and amusement parks.
Add a generous dusting of powdered sugar, and they’re every bit as delicious as the originals.

What a treat, Diane! My kids would be over-the-moon excited if I made these for them.
This has to be one of the most creative and different dessert bites I have ever seen. I love sweets sprinkled with powdered sugar. Your photographs are wonderful!
Wow this takes decadence to a whole new level. Ah-maze-ing!
What a decadent treat!
Love these!
These are over the top! Love it 🙂
I can’t believe how easy these are to make! Pancake batter? Genius! I’m gaining weight just looking at these!
Oh dear me… these look sinful!
I’ve never had one, but your post is making me want one something bad!!
Diane, You’re amazing! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
FYI~I was finally able to get onto my Munchkin Munchies fb page(as the admin), but it won’t let me comment as MM! Oh well.
Enjoy your weekend!
Sue you are so sweet! I hope fb starts cooperating! Have a wonderful weekend.
awesome! I am working on a huge fried project. I might need to ask you some pointers
I can only tell you that at the boardwalk they had a whole list of fried candy….I have a photo of the list if you’d like to see it…really is funny. Also tried fried pickles but haven’t had fried butter, have you?
I’ve seen these at some of the little festivals and fairs around here, but I can never bring myself to try them……..#1. for fear of being labeled at the fat girl eatting fried oreo, and #2… they are to darn expensive to me haha, But with this DIY home recipe. I might have to try them
I’m beginning to think that there is nothing you can’t make from pancake batter! Another unique and delicious treat from your kitchen.
OMG SOLD! I could see this as a treat day treat 🙂
I had one once, and decided that was a wonderful treat I only had to have once in a lifetime! But congratulations on figuring it out! I never would have dreamt it was pancake batter.
Those look mighty delicious!
Oh wow! Those beat anything I’ve ever seen at the fair before – so decadent!
These look amazing. I’ve never had fried oreos, but I am itching to. Baby Boy was too young for us to head to shore this year so maybe next year…. Or I could just fry up a batch of these at home 🙂
Wow, I’m getting excited over these just looking at the picture. Those look very very tasty!
OMG-I LOVE this, Diane. I’ve actually never had one, but yours looks so much better than the ones I’ve seen at the fair.
wow! Hugs and wishes for a joy filled weekend.
Fried oreos are the absolute best!!! I tried those at a fair a few years ago and fell in love with them. Your homemade ones look absolute delicious!!! I am now craving them and it is still morning;-)
Your fried Oreos are spectacular. I bought some at the fair and they had uncooked batter around the Oreo and were just nasty. I wish I’d had yours instead.
I don’t deep fry at home, either, but i think I could deal with 3 inches of oil—that’s not too bad, and these look really delicious. Even the outer dough part looks tempting!
