Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
If you love chocolate and peanut butter then you are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these cookies!

I will say these have become my favorite cookies lately,
they are chewy and delicious and full of chocolate and peanut butter flavor.
I love how big they are.
When it comes to chocolate and peanut butter it’s GO big or go home,
and these are going BIG in flavor and size.
Perfect to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I’ve made these beauties to celebrate the 2nd year of this momentous day.

Don’t forget to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post to see what all the other bloggers participating today have made!

Make sure you place the cookies about 2 inches apart,
overcrowding the baking sheet will result in uneven baking.
I have lots of tips on baking cookies HERE, you won’t want to miss it!

These bake up nice and stay thick in the center and are chewy and delicious, yep….I’m kinda crazy about them!

Pour a glass of milk and pile some on a plate and enjoy,
sharing is fine… I share sometimes!
These cookies are hard to resist warm out of the oven.
the chocolate chips are melty and gooey…
and the aroma of peanut butter is intoxicating,
the slightly crisp edges on the cookie part are a really yummy contrast and that is why these need to go on the top of your must make cookie list, RIGHT NOW!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup dutch cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- In mixer bowl beat butter and peanut butter together
- add in both sugars and vanilla
- mix in eggs until completely combined
- Add in flour, dutch cocoa, baking soda and salt, mix until combined
- Add in chocolate chips
- place 3 tablespoons sized scoop (Large scoop) on a parchment lined baking sheets about 2 inches apart, don't overcrowd your baking sheets.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes
- Remove baking sheet from oven, the cookies can cool on the baking sheets (If you move large cookies when they are still hot, they tend to break) that is why these are baked 10-12 minutes they still cook until the pan cools. I use thick baking pans they take time to cool down (If you use thin baking sheets you may need to adjust the time) you want to cookies to have a slightly firm bottom and the top should be all set up. If your cookies need another minute or two check them often, but don't overbake them, remember they will still bake more on the hot pan after you remove them from the oven.
- Cookies are big and will be chewy in the center.

oh And my cookie count – 19 I used an ice cream scoop – filled to the top, A large cookie, perfect with s scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Made these tonight. Easy recipe and they taste great! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
How many cookies does one batch make?
about 24 cookies as I recall, maybe 30. I think each time I make the dough, everyone walks by and swipes some before I get a solid count 🙂
Thank you!!!
Will Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa work in this recipe or does it have to be only Dutch processed? (Hershey’s Special Dark is a blend of natural and Dutch).
Yes you can use any cocoa powder you prefer the taste of, the special dark should taste yummy.
After visiting your blog this is not possible to stop our diet 😛
These look and sound amazing!
Can the butter be subbed for oil?
I haven’t tried subbing oil for butter as I prefer butter, but if you have done that before with baking cookies I say go ahead and try it. You’ll have to let me know how they turn out with the oil.
Oh my! This is like a brownie meets a cookie + peanut butter. Pinned!
These look delicious and I want to be dairy free. I don’t use margarine.
Can I substitute the butter for oil?
Thanks
I haven’t tried using oil for the butter, if you have done that in other recipes it may be worth a try. I’m not sure of the results because I typically bake with butter.
I usually sub for oil. I try.
I am definitely on board for bigger and more chewy cookies! Will be adding this yummy cookie recipe to the dessert menu!
Absolutely NOTHING wrong with these!
These look so chewy good!
Mmmm….big ‘n thick choc PB cookies with a chewy centre…these look and sound absolutely perfect, Diane! I can just imagine how delicious they would be right out of the oven with a few giant scoops of vanilla ice cream on top. OMG I’m actually drooling at the thought.
These look perfectly fudge and chewy. Just plain irresistible!
I don’t think I could even wait till these cool to take a bit! Fabulous cookies!
I have 0 doubt in my mind that I def WOULD loooove these cookies!
Wow, I think I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these cookies too! They look like they’re right from a top notch bakery!
These cookies look outrageously delicious, Diane!
You’re right — I think I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these cookies!
Cookies are my weakness already and combined with peanut butter and chocolate it is just dynamite.
I am mesmerized by these – I love THICK cookies – these are just dreamy!
Big and chewy? That’s my jam…errr I mean cookie!! Pinned these babies!
In my opinion, a cookie has to be THICK and CHEWY in order for me to even consider eating it, and you definitely nailed that on the head.
And then adding in chocolate and peanut butter? I DIE. pinned!
Oh yes, I can already tell I would love, love, love those cookies.
I would love these cookies! No doubt 🙂
