How to Make Salty Sweet Pretzel Toffee

Salty Sweet Pretzel Toffee is one of those easy treats that disappears quickly. Crunchy pretzel sticks are layered with buttery, crisp toffee, then covered with a smooth layer of chocolate for the perfect sweet and salty combination. It has plenty of crunch, a little saltiness from the pretzels, and rich buttery toffee in every bite.

This is a simple candy-style treat that looks impressive but is surprisingly easy to make. The pretzels give the toffee a delicious crunch, while the chocolate on top makes it extra indulgent. Break it into pieces and serve it for holidays, parties, cookie trays, or whenever you want something sweet and crunchy.

Why you’ll love Salty Sweet Pretzel Toffee

There is something about the combination of pretzels, buttery toffee, and chocolate that just works. The salty pretzels balance the sweetness of the toffee, and the chocolate adds a rich finish.

It is also a great make-ahead treat. Once the chocolate and toffee have set, simply break it into pieces and store it in an airtight container.

Place chocolate chips on top of the toffee. The heat of the toffee will melt the chocolate and make it easy to spread smoothly.

    1. I cut it with a large chefs knife, the pretzels help keep it straighter than without, some pieces end up breaking into triangles but loads of them are squares.

  1. What is a 1/4 sheet pan? Is it the size of a jelly role pan (which is large) or a 9 x 13 cake pan or a cookie sheet?
    Thanks!

  2. I love sweet and salty together. Those homemade googly eyes make those treats so much fun. I don’t know if I’d ever have the patience to make them, but I love how they came out!! They make a great, festive touch to the toffee.
