Macaroon Chicks
coconut macaroons, these are fun and the perfect spring time tread

The first signs of spring remind me of
chicks
there are many types of chicks
today I am sharing with you my spring chicks
These little cuties are my Macaroon Chicks.
These are large macaroons,
made with 16 oz coconut
4 egg whites
8T flour
1/4 tsp salt
1tsp vanilla
mix all ingredients together
using a 1/2 cup measuring scoop
form into an egg shape then roll in additional coconut
bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes
the fondant pieces I made before I baked the macaroons
insert a toothpick to make a hole for the fondant pieces
( I made the fondant the day before and will be posting on how easy it was to make later this week)
and place an almond for the beak

and they are sitting on edible grass
