Dessert Dip: Takes Fruit to a Whole New Level
This dessert dip takes just minutes to make and turns a simple bowl of fruit into something that feels a little more like dessert. It’s creamy, fluffy, sweet, and so easy to customize with endless flavor options.

Serve it with strawberries, pineapple, apples, cherries, or raspberries, or use it as a dip for pretzels and cookies. Once you make it, you’ll find plenty of things to dip into it!
Sweet Cream Cheese Fruit Dip
The basic dip is made with just three ingredients: cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla. That’s it! Mix everything together until smooth and creamy, and you have an easy dip ready for fruit, cookies, or pretzels.
Cream cheese gives it that slightly tangy flavor that keeps the dip from being overly sweet, while the marshmallow fluff makes it light, creamy, and fluffy.
It’s one of those recipes that’s great to have when you need something quick for a party, snack, dessert, or last-minute get-together.

What can you dip in sweet cream cheese fruit dip?
Of course, fruit is the obvious choice, and there are so many good options.
Try it with:
- Strawberries
- Pineapple
- Apples
- Cherries
- Raspberries
- Bananas
- Grapes
- mango
- cantaloupe
- watermelon
- Blueberries

Now to elevate them even further… dip them into graham cracker crumbs, Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, or nuts… all so yummy. The graham cracker crumbs make them taste like strawberry cheesecake!
But don’t stop with fruit! This easy 3-ingredient dip is also delicious with salty pretzels, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, shortbread cookies, or your favorite crisp cookies. And it’s great with chocolate items too. Slather it on cupcakes or cake, and give chocolate cookies a try too.

Add sprinkles to make it more fun!

The simple ingredients
Let’s talk about the marshmallow fluff, it’s well… fluffy which is one reason it gives this dip a great texture, no gritty sugary feel, just puffy, fluffy, creaminess.
And the cream cheese, it blends best at room temperature, so that there will be no lumps.
Vanilla gives it a wonderful warm flavor!
The combination of sweet, creamy dip with salty pretzels is especially good.
Adjust the flavor
Vanilla is wonderful, and you can add other flavors in addition to vanilla for another version. It’s delicious on its own, but you can easily change the flavor depending on what you’re serving.
Try adding some:
- Lemon extract for a bright, fresh citrus flavor.
- Almond extract for a delicious almond cream flavor.
- Coconut extract for a tropical twist, especially with pineapple. Add shredded coconut if you like the texture of it!
- Banana extract for a fun banana cream flavor.
- Peanut butter for a richer dip that is especially good with apples, pretzels, and cookies.
- Cinnamon for a warm, cozy flavor that pairs beautifully with apples.
- Pumpkin pie spice for an easy fall version that’s great with apples, graham crackers, and cookies.
- Molasses, pumpkin pie spice, and ginger for a warm, cozy wintery gingerbread flavor

And if you’re making this for a birthday party, holiday, or just want to have some fun with it, stir in sprinkles. You can change the sprinkles to match any occasion. This recipe is fun and easy to make when camping, and no baking required!
And this is a fun dip too… Fig Jam Dip!

A fun dessert idea
I also love using this dip as part of a dessert instead of simply serving it alongside fruit.
One of my favorite combinations is grilled cake with pineapple and this sweet cream cheese dip drizzled over the top. The warm grilled cake, juicy pineapple, and creamy sweet dip make a really fun dessert. Using a sectioned tray for parties is a fun way to serve it.
It’s a simple way to take a few everyday ingredients and turn them into something that feels special.
This is the kind of recipe you can make when you suddenly realize you need something for a party or when you want a quick dessert without actually making a dessert.
Mix the cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla together, choose your favorite flavor addition if you’d like, and you’re ready to serve.
Keep a few strawberries or other fruit on hand, and you have an easy snack or dessert that comes together in minutes. Adjust the portions smaller if needed.
Sweet Cream Cheese Fruit Dip is proof that sometimes the easiest recipes are the ones you make over and over again.

Where has this been all my life?
It’s a mixture of cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla extract. Whip it all together and drizzle it over the grilled cake, dip fruit into it, and use it as a frosting. Add some milk or cream if you’d like the dip to be thinner, for a thinner drizzle consistency.
