Yesterday, I shared my very Simple Shortbread Recipe and wanted to show you a fun idea, and how you can easily create a Santa Hat with the same cookie.
Isn’t that Santa Hat cute?
I baked the shortbread in white mini cupcake liners, but this time used buttercream frosting on top.
Then tinted the frosting with Americolor Super Red and used a #804 tip for the hat and added Americolor Bright White and used a #32 tip for the trim.
You can add raspberry extract for the red hat part, but be sure to use clear vanilla for the white frosting as the raspberry is sure to turn it pink and real vanilla will make it a cream color.
These tiny bites are sure to make everyone smile!
1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
6 cups powdered sugar
2-4 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoons vanilla extract, if you are making white frosting use clear vanilla.
Beat butter, add sugar and milk along with extract until smooth and creamy
