Oh if red velvet is your thing, you will LOVE this Red Velvet Fudge Recipe.
I am all out fudge…
I just love chocolaty fudge and this red velvet fudge is just chocolaty enough,
and has a hint of buttermilk that gives red velvet it’s classic flavor.
A little tangy sweetness that makes it recognizable.
It’s so pretty red,
it’s hard to resist.
Perfect for Valentine’s Day too.
In a medium saucepan heat sweetened condensed milk with white chocolate and dark chocolate, when all the chocolate melts remove the saucepan from the stove.
Stir in the marshmallow cream, dry buttermilk (which is available in the baking aisle) along with vanilla extract and red velvet baking emulsion (which is available online or at baking supply stores it’s made by LoRann) mix until creamy smooth.
Place into 2 oz plastic containers and chill in fridge until set about an hour. Alternatively you can put it in an 8×8 parchment lined pan, to slice when it’s set. This fudge is creamy and delicious.
Red Velvet Fudge
- 2 cups dark chocolate
- 1 cup white chocolate
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 7 oz. marshmallow cream
- 1 tablespoon dry buttermilk Saco makes dry buttermilk available in the baking aisle
- 2 tablespoons Red Velvet Baking Emulsion or red food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In medium saucepan
- pour dark chocolate, white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk together
- heat over medium heat until candy is fully melted
- remove from heat
- stir in marshmallow cream until it's smooth
- add in dry buttermilk, red velvet baking emulsion and vanilla extract
- Pour into 2 oz plastic containers and chill in fridge until set about an hour. Alternatively you can place the fudge in an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper to set the fudge up and then remove it from the pan and cut it into pieces.
Topping them with heart shaped sprinkles makes them extra cute for Valentine’s Day .
