Easy Dessert with Chocolate and Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips, I use Ghirardelli 60% Cacao
  • 1 medium apple, sliced (I use honeycrisp)
  • 1/3 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/3 cup cashews, chopped
  • pinch coarse kosher salt (or fleur de sel)

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Have all items ready, and make sure the apple is sliced, and the nuts are chopped.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate for 30-second intervals, stirring every 30 seconds to heat the chocolate evenly.
  • Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment lined baking sheet with an offset spatula or similar,
  • Place sliced apple in rows, dice smaller if desired.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over top of the apples.
  • Add nuts and sprinkle salt on top.
