Chocolate Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 t. teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl combine cocoa and water mixing with a whisk until smooth. Cool completely. Sift flour with baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Beat on high butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla 5 minutes.
  • On low blend in flour mixture and cocoa mixture
  • Do Not Overbeat
  • bake approx 12 to 15 minutes
