How to toast coconut in the oven

Ingredients

  • sweetened shredded coconut I toasted about 10oz out of a 14oz bag on a 1/4 sheet pan

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spread the coconut into a thin layer on a 1/4 baking sheet.
  • Place in upper portion of the oven.
  • Turn the coconut so it toasts evenly with a spatula/turner.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes or until coconut is golden.
  • Allow toasted coconut to completely cool, then store in an airtight container.
  • Will keep fresh for one month at room temperature.
