sorry about that, I add them in after the eggs and vanilla and gently stirred them in. Mine were cold from the refrigerator so they didn’t get too soft while blending. I will adjust the recipe. Thanks for letting me know I had an error.

thank you for this recipe I absolutely LOVE figs, But at what point in the recipe do you put in the figs ?Since they are so soft do they break up into the mixture so all the dough has bits throughout? thanks

We used to have a dwarf fig tree when I was growing up – love the idea of figs in scones and that chocolate coated bottom just puts these over the top!

yes they are easy to work with, I’d say they are similar to a strawberry, moist, and when really ripe, juicy and easily squished when firmer easy to slice. Sweet and pretty and look great topped on treats!

I’ve made (fairly recently) the revelation that I LOVE figs. I had them for the first time a year or two ago and only once or twice since, but each time I’ve had them, I’ve always reminded how much I enjoy them. Your scones sound like a perfect way to enjoy them…and with chocolate? SOLD.
