MEATBALLS, to put into many great recipes. From pasta and marinara sauce to sweet and sour, soups and so much more.
Recipe type: Main Dish
Cuisine: American
Serves: 8 servings
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • optional 1/4 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese
  1. Place all the ingredients into a bowl, mix well and portion out to the size meatball you'd like.
  2. I often make them 2 tablespoon-sized for easy consumption.
  3. Cook meatballs in a skillet on the stove, or bake them in the oven on a baking sheet at 350°
  4. until the meat is 135°.
  5. Turn the meatballs halfway through cooking to ensure they cook evenly.
the leaner the beef the more liquid you may want to add (you can add more milk at a tablespoon at a time and an additional egg if you use 90% lean beef and if it appears to be dry, no juice. But mix it first and add only if needed
