Sweet and Spicy Slow Cooker Chicken
Ingredients
  • 12-14 chicken legs (4 lbs)
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup water
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Chinese vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoon minced ginger
  • sauce thickener:
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • ¼ cup water
Instructions
  1. Mix brown sugar, water, soy sauce, vinegar, sriracha, garlic, and ginger together.
  2. Place chicken legs in a slow cooker, pour sauce over the chicken.
  3. Set slow cooker on high for 3½ hours.
  4. After the 3½ hours, remove chicken from slow cooker and place the sauce in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water and pour into sauce.
  6. Simmer sauce on medium-low for 15 minutes.
  7. Allow sauce to cool for 5 minutes, it will thicken.
  8. Spread the sauce over the chicken legs.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
