Chocolate Cut Out Cookies
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup melted and cooled 60% cacao Ghiradelli Chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa (dutch process)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  1. In a large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add egg, vanilla extract melted and cooled chocolate, cocoa mix thoroughly.
  3. Add in flour, baking powder, salt, and mix until all combined.
  4. Roll out cookies in between wax paper to ¼ inch thick and cut with cookie cutter.
  5. Place cookies onto parchment lined baking sheets and bake at 400 degrees for 7-9 minutes.
  6. Edges will be firm but not browned.
  7. Cool cookies on baking sheet before moving and icing.
