How to Bake Crispy French Fries
  • 4 Idaho Russet Baking Potatoes (about 2 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus additional oil for baking sheet)
  • Coarse salt for seasoning
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Lightly oil baking sheet
  3. Cut potatoes into slices about ¼"
  4. then cut the slices into strips about ¼"
  5. the thicker you cut the strips of potatoes the long they will take to cook and the less crisp they will be
  6. Place potatoes and 2 tablespoons oil into a bowl and toss until all potatoes are coated
  7. Place potatoes onto baking sheet in a single layer
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy.
  9. Salt while hot
