I always have to transport my Thanksgiving food. i use those insulated zippered containers that hold about a 13X9 inch pan. Mine are expandable and I originally got them at walmart in the camping section many years ago. They were pricey. I pack those frozen blue ice things in the bottom (and any blue ice things or gel packs should also be sealed in baggies….they can spring leaks). I put my dish I am taking on top of the frozen blue ice packs. Sometimes I use a cooling rack in between my pans so I can stack my containers I am taking in the car. I needed a cooler to transport cold wine one time, so I actually chose a cooler in the store by taking it to the wine aisle to see if the bottles would fit. One more tip….I pack a thermometer so I can monitor the actual temperature of the cooler/and the temperature of the food….to ensure food safety. I found your tips very useful, so thank you and have a wonderful thanksgiving.
