Grilled Crostini with Goat Cheese and ‘wichcraft Tomato Relish
I first enjoyed these a couple weeks ago when I hosted the Williams-Sonoma and Calphalon Party.
I think you may be surprised to hear that I didn’t actually make them, my daughter who is 12 made them. All 30 of them that were enjoyed at the party…she made.
She was so sweet to help me out and do it all herself.
I was so sad to find out after the party that I had forgotten to take the photos of all her hard work, so tonight she made them again for us to enjoy and they were so tasty.
I set her up with the grill pan and she brushed each side of the sliced baguette with olive oil and grilled them perfectly, light golden brown and crispy but not too over done and hard. I love how she has patients for things I certainly didn’t have them for especially the day I had the party. Time was flying by and I was so glad she could do this all on her own and I knew how much care she would take with the task that was given to her. Then she spread goat cheese onto the crostini and added some ‘wichcraft Tomato Relish (it is very good and I’m so glad they had more at Williams-Sonoma when I went the other day, because I would have been disappointed to not have been able to share this wonderful appetizer with you, photos and all!) Topped off with finely chopped fresh basil.
It was so nice to be able to enjoy these again, they have become a new favorite!
