Not quite sure why I decided to make what would seem like a winter meal on a hot almost summer day, but if that’s what there is to make and you can put it into the crock pot and return home and dinner is done. Who am I to argue.
I browned the beef
Chopped potatoes, onions,and carrots. Placed everything into the crock pot.
I deglazed the pan with beef broth, poured it on top of the items in the crock pot and added about 6 cups water.
then set it on high until I got back home.
Dinner was complete!

Oh, that looks so good!!! I love my crockpots — Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear. And as far as I'm concerned, whoever thought up the idea for them should win a Nobel Prize!

I make a similar stew in my crockpot all the time, even in the summer. I refuse to turn on my oven in the summer, so the crockpot comes to the rescue often!
