Have you seen the email, "The most dangerous cake recipe in the world" really?

5 Minute Chocolate Mug  Cake

{oops blurry photo, couldn’t wait to try it}
I have received the email for this cake many times
“The most dangerous cake recipe in the world”
Each time I say to myself I have to try it
Well I did and will be sharing the results with you as well as what two others thought.
This is how you make
 5 Minute Chocolate Cake
In a microwavable coffee mug add

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
mix well
then add
1 egg and mix well
then add
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
mix again
add 3 tablespoons chocolate chips ( I would use mini chips)
A small splash of vanilla extract and mix well
1 minute chocolate cake in the microwave
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate.
Then EAT!
I dusted it with powdered sugar

(this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous)

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

My two taste testers rated the cake out of a possible 5 stars
flavor 4 stars
texture 2 stars
presentation 3.5 stars
I would have to agree the flavor was nice,
 the texture was not great,
presentation once dusted with sugar was cute
I had used regular chocolate chip but most ended up stuck in the bottom of the mug,
so I would use mini chocolate chips in the hopes they would melt a bit and not settle to the bottom.
Certainly, it was not the best tasting chocolate cake I had ever had, but it sure beat out a lot of bad birthday cakes I have been served.
Give it a try and tell me what you think.
